We started receiving emails from various people that there was a litter of black Lab mix puppies that were found on a road and the people that picked them up were going to take them to the shelter. Apparently, this was from the fall of 2007. So if you are sent this email, disregard it.
We are still receiving requests from people to help find homes for their dogs because they are being forced out of the homes. So far we have been able to help. Our website has really helped us increase the number of dogs we help place. In 2008 we helped place over 350 Labs and Lab mixes. Please pass our website url to your friends and family that may be interested in adopting a Lab or Lab mix. Thanks, Golden Gate Lab Rescue

I have notice that 5 black lab puppies were found in Reno, NV this past weekend and they are in dire need of placing them with foster/forever homes (or else they will be put in our shelter and more than likely euthanized).
Is their any way your organization would take these puppies (or do you know of someone/organization that could)?
Please email Melissa Holder at tblindesign@hotmail.com if you have any information!
Thank you!!
Hi, I just sent you an email asking you to contact our rep in Reno. I think we may be able to help. Thanks for letting us know.
We have an 11 year old female lab mix named Sandy and a 9 year old male peke terrier named Mocha Cafe.
Sandy was rescued by the Vallejo humane society and Mocha adopted from friends who couldn't keep him.
Our 13 year old boy lab mix Skipper passed on two years ago and my wife is ready for another dog and wants a puppy that Sandy can nurture and enjoy. I want lab or lab mixes from now on. If you come across a lab or lab mix pup that needs a home please let us know.
Golden Gate Lab Rescue placed my beloved service dog Duke as a rescue while I was in the hospital. I was planning to attend San Francisco Art University and received permission to bring Duke to classes, when my husband lied and told Blue Cross Pet Hospital that I could not care for Duke. I tried to stop the placement and told Blue Cross that Duke was on Longevity by Springtime to keep walking and running without pain and lameness. Duke does not have what he needs to do well. Jess Wilson was my husband. What these people did was horrible. I am writing a book about this wonderful dog, what he acomplished and what happened to him.
