Hello we are Diesel and Molly. For 5 years we lived with our family. There was even a young child, born when we were younger, that we lived with. We are both altered. One day we took a trip in the car and went to a place we had never visited before. The sign said this was a shelter. We saw tears in out human's eyes when he explained to the kind people behind the counter that he had cancer and could no longer care for us. He brought his young son with him to say good bye to us. He explained that we were the very best doggies. We now live in a kennel together to make this transition easier. We hope we might go home together, but understand that might not be possible. We are a mix of Chocolate Lab and German Shorthaired Pointer, though we look very lab-like. We live in a shelter in Ukiah, just 2 hours from the Bay Area, and hope you will email to learn how to take us home. Tell them Lab Rescue sent you. 7/1/08

7/5/08 Well we received an email today from the Animal Rescue from Anderson Valley that both Diesel and Molly had been adopted by someone who saw them on our Lab Rescue website. We have been very fortunate over the years to be able to help find new homes for pairs of Labs like Diesel and Molly so they don't have to be separated after they have lived together for many years. Sometimes it really is easier to adopt two Labs instead of one. They seem to help each other adjust to their new homes faster.

7/7/08 Woops. You are right. Unfortunately I have already removed their pictures from our website so I can't post their photos. Take my word for it they are very nice chocolates. Lab Rescue

Thanks to the posting of Mel on Craig's list, Mel was adopted today by a wonderful young couple from San Francisco (who have a 2 year old child). It was love at first sight all around.
Mel couldn't be happier and he's such a wonderful dog. His only issue is that he HATES cats. The new owner said she hates them too. :-)) A match made in heaven. So please list him as ADOPTED~~ YAY!!

I am happy to report that Jessie has been accepted by ProActive K9's, a group run by Julia Ford, that trains drug sniffing dogs. She went off with Julia today and she is definitely a dog who needs a job. She was amazing to watch (performed with flying colors) as she worked with Julia and we both agreed that she is going to be wonderful at this work. They will have her hips Xrayed (and I'm sure they're O.K.) and that would be the only thing standing in Jessie's way. Jessie was thrilled to be going off with Julia today.....one very happy dog who is going to be able to do all the things she loves to do every day!! YAY!! So please list her as "Adopted."
